I use a combination of heavy-duty waterproofing, seasoned wood for the pergolas, and structural load balancing to ensure you can have a water body or a lush lawn right there on the roof without ever worrying about seepage. It is about creating that urban oasis feel while ensuring the structural integrity remains rock solid.
Designing for the Gurgaon Climate
Building an outdoor space in Gurgaon is not just about aesthetics. It is about dealing with the heat and the seasonal rains. My rooftop designs focus on creating a micro-environment that stays usable year-round. I use treated outdoor wood for pergolas that resists rotting and high-grade waterproofing membranes that protect the structure below from the water bodies or irrigation systems above.
