Table Tennis Coaching and Performance Training
We combine rigorous table tennis training with explosive fitness drills. From 4-year-olds finding their grip to state-level champs hitting match-winning rallies, here is how we build speed and agility on the court.
To make my players faster, I turn drills into games. Here, we are playing a high-speed tic-tac-toe race, which builds agility and quick decision-making right on the floor. This is a perfect example of my 'Fitness with Fun' philosophy.
This shows the complete training cycle for player Ada Gupta. We start with plyometric exercises like step-ups and cardio, then immediately apply that explosive power and stamina to on-table drills and rallies.
A look inside our Summer 2024 academy session. You can see the variety in our training, from focused agility ladder footwork and fun cone-stacking games to the proud moment of our team posing together.
I work with players of all ages, starting as young as four. Here, I am doing a multi-ball training session with one of my youngest players, Heer Vohra, to develop her reflexes and fundamental strokes.
Core strength is the foundation of a powerful table tennis player. This video shows my students building that essential strength with push-ups and improving their endurance with coordinated skipping drills.
About Featured
I run my sessions at Haridham Mandir where we prioritize agility over just standing at the table. If you are wondering why we do skipping and ladder drills before picking up a racket, it is because that explosive speed—our Raftaar ke avtaar—is what makes the difference between a good player and a state-level medalist.
At Ping Pong Academy, we treat the table tennis floor as an athletic training ground. Whether you are a beginner picking up a paddle for the first time or a tournament player looking to shave milliseconds off your reaction time, our sessions are built around three core pillars: fitness, technique, and repetition.
Why Our Training Is Different
We don't just rally. We use agility ladders, plyometric circuits, and cones to build a level of footwork that allows you to control the game. My approach is simple: if you are fit, you are fast, and if you are fast, you win points.
For the Kids
I coach kids as young as four, and for them, the learning curve is entirely different. We use games—like high-speed tic-tac-toe or relay races—to hide the hard work. They are building core strength and hand-eye coordination without feeling like they are doing a workout. It is about fostering a love for the game first, then sharpening the competitive edge.
Tournament Prep
For my older students, the focus shifts to match intensity. We simulate game pressure with multi-ball drills and intense cardio circuits. If you are aiming for Delhi state rankings or school tournaments, you need the stamina to last through five-set matches. That is exactly what we build here in GTB Nagar.
We are a family-first academy. We celebrate every win, but we value the process of getting better even more.
