The Power of Pure Ayurvedic Ingredients
I believe in transparency and the science behind nature. My formulations rely on raw, time-tested ingredients like Shata Dhauta Ghrita and Audumbar Jal to feed your skin exactly what it needs, without fillers.
This graphic explains the meaning of Shata Dhauta Ghrita, or 100-times washed ghee, a key ingredient in my creams for its enhanced therapeutic properties.
How is Shata Dhauta Ghrita made? This infographic details the process of diligent purification and washing in a copper vessel to improve absorption.
The benefits of using Shata Dhauta Ghrita are numerous. It nourishes all seven layers of skin, and the copper used in the process aids in collagen production.
Audumbar Jal, or cluster fig water, is nature's gift to you. It is a key ingredient in my cleanser for its soothing and hydrating properties.
What is Audumbar Jal? It is a natural liquid extract from the roots of the Audumbar tree, used in Ayurveda to address concerns related to Pitta Dosha, like heat and inflammation.
The first benefit of Audumbar Jal is hydration and nourishment. This natural tonic leaves the skin soft, supple, and radiant.
The second benefit of Audumbar Jal is its soothing and calming effect, making it ideal for sensitive and irritated skin.
The third benefit of Audumbar Jal is its power as a natural antioxidant, protecting your skin from environmental stressors.
The fourth benefit of Audumbar Jal is holistic healing. It not only enhances your skin's appearance but also contributes to your overall well-being.
About The Power of Our Ingredients
When I formulate, I skip plain water because your skin does not need filler. Instead, I use Audumbar Jal (cluster fig water) as a base for hydration, and for deeper nourishment, I use Shata Dhauta Ghrita—ghee that has been washed 100 times in copper vessels. It is a slow process, but it is the only way to ensure the product absorbs into your skin without leaving a greasy, synthetic finish.
Why Ingredients Matter
In modern skincare, we often see products filled with plain water and chemical stabilisers. In my lab, I follow the principles of Ayurveda, where every ingredient must serve a purpose as 'ahaara' or food for the skin.
The Science of Shata Dhauta Ghrita
This is not just ghee. This is ghee that has been washed 100 times in a copper vessel. Through this repetitive washing, the heavy, oily nature of ghee is transformed into a lighter, whipped texture. The contact with copper aids in collagen production, while the washing process breaks the molecules down, allowing them to penetrate deep into all seven layers of the skin. This is why my creams feel different—they nourish from the inside rather than sitting on the surface.
The Role of Audumbar Jal
Many of my cleansers start with Audumbar Jal (cluster fig water) rather than regular water. In Ayurveda, this extract is revered for its ability to balance Pitta Dosha. If you suffer from heat, inflammation, or redness, Audumbar Jal acts as a cooling agent. It does not just clean; it restores the natural moisture balance that harsh, soap-based cleansers often strip away.
My Commitment to You
Whether it is Manjistha for pigmentation or Bhringraj for hair, I select every herb based on its medicinal history. I do not use parabens, mineral oils, or silicones. When you read an ingredient list on an Abja product, you are reading exactly what went into the batch. It is simple, honest, and effective.
Abja Healthcare
I am Dr. Priya Patki, the person behind Abja. I started this because I believe our skin—our daily soldier—deserves real, chemical-free nourishment, not marketing shortcuts. I craft every batch myself, using only traditional herbs, so you get exactly what I use on my own family.
