The Cleansing Step

Most conventional face washes use sulfates to create lather, which effectively removes oil but also destroys your natural lipid barrier. My Ayurvedic face cleanser is soap-free. It uses a blend of Rose Water for hydration, Audumbar Jal (Ficus water) to tighten pores, and Eladi Kwath—a powerful blend of herbs including cardamom—to cool and calm the skin. Because it uses a natural gelling agent from olive oil rather than synthetic polymers like carbopol, it cleanses without dehydrating. It is also the first Ayurvedic makeup remover on the market, safe enough for the delicate eye area.

The Nourishing Step

Once the skin is clean, it needs to be fed. Plain water in moisturisers evaporates quickly, which is why I use aloe vera juice as the base. For the fats, I use Shata Dhauta Ghrita—ghee that has been washed 100 times. This traditional Ayurvedic process changes the structure of the ghee, making it light, non-greasy, and capable of penetrating deep into the skin layers. It delivers the 'sneha tatva' (oil element) your skin craves to stay supple throughout the day.
