About this collection
The secret to a dark stain is simple. I use triple-sifted Sojat henna powder and high-quality essential oils like lavender or clove. I never use chemicals to force the color. You need to keep the henna on your skin for a few hours, and keep it warm. It will look bright orange at first, but have patience. That rich maroon color develops naturally over the next 24 to 48 hours as it oxidizes.
Most market cones use chemical dyes to give an instant black or dark stain, but that is not real henna. Real organic henna, like the one I mix in my J.P. Nagar studio, follows a natural process. When you remove my paste, it starts as an orange stain. Over the next 48 hours, it deepens into that signature dark maroon or mahogany color that everyone loves.
My Organic Process
- No Chemicals: I use 100% natural henna powder, sugar, and essential oils. There is no PPD or ammonia, making it perfectly safe for children and pregnant women.
- Wazu Friendly: My paste allows for natural skin respiration, making it a great choice for my Muslim sisters.
- Freshness Matters: I prepare my paste in small batches. It is never old stock, which is why the dye release is so strong.
Tips for the Perfect Stain
- Keep it Warm: Heat is your best friend. After applying, keep your hands warm. You can even use steam from a clove pot to deepen the color.
- Patience: Avoid water for the first 12 to 24 hours after removing the paste. Water stops the oxidation process and will prevent the color from darkening.
- Aftercare: Apply coconut oil or my natural balm after removing the dried paste to protect the skin and lock in the deep red tones.
Whether you are a bride or just love the tradition, my organic henna cones give you that deep, rich color that lasts for weeks. If you want to experience the difference for yourself, drop me a message.
