Behind the Scenes: My Handmade Resin Art Process
Ever wondered what goes into creating your custom resin keepsakes? Here is a peek into my studio, the patience behind the craft, and the stories that shape every piece I make.
I often get asked about my suppliers, but finding the right ones took a lot of time and effort. It's a trade secret that is part of my unique process. While I can't share my vendors, I can share the beautiful results, like this custom wedding keepsake.
It can be a bit scary when a customer hesitates to pay an advance for a bulk custom order, as COD is not feasible for handmade work. This video shows one such order for mantra frames, and I always advise clients to provide all details upfront to ensure a smooth process.
Originality is key. While inspiration is important, directly copying another artist's hard work is not. I pour my own style and effort into every piece, like this festive puja thali, to ensure my clients receive something truly unique and handcrafted with love.
The pressure is real when customers request faster delivery, especially during the busy Diwali season. This video gives a little glimpse into the rush of finishing these Shubh Labh hangings to get them shipped out on time. It's all part of the handmade hustle.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing a client's joy. This unboxing video captures a client's wonderful reaction to her custom Guruji frame for her salon. Seeing her smile is the best reward for all the hard work. Shukrana Guruji.
About My Handmade Process & Stories
People often ask why handmade resin work takes time. The reality is, it is a slow process—from carefully dehydrating flowers to layering epoxy for that glass-like finish, everything needs patience. I do not use shortcuts because these are not just objects, they are your memories. When you order, you are not just buying a product, you are trusting me with something precious.
The Art of Preservation
Many people see a one-minute reel and think the process is instant. It is not. Whether I am preserving wedding varmala flowers, temple prasad, or baby footprints, the first stage is always chemical dehydration. This takes time to ensure the organic material retains its shape and color before it ever touches resin. If I rush this, the result won't last, and that is not how I work.
My Process & Craft
I pour my own style and effort into every piece, from festive puja thalis to mantra frames. I believe that while inspiration is fine, originality is what makes a gift special. When you look at my work, you are seeing the result of hand-pouring layers, managing curing times based on Delhi's temperature, and ensuring the final finish is durable and high-gloss. This is why I advise all clients to share their details upfront.
Why Custom Takes Time
Because I am a small team, I cannot offer the same speed as mass-produced factory items. Every order is a 'mehnati' task. From the moment you send your items to the final demoulding, I am involved in every step. This isn't just business for me; it is about preserving your stories so they bloom forever. If you are planning for a specific occasion, please reach out with enough lead time so I can give your piece the attention it deserves.
