About this collection

The Mehendi or poolside gathering is often the most relaxed part of the wedding week, but it requires careful planning to maintain that comfort. I focus on creating lounge pockets that prioritize shade and flow, using bamboo pergolas and natural fabrics to keep the atmosphere breezy and inviting even on the sunniest afternoons.

When designing for these semi-outdoor environments, my goal is to bridge the gap between nature and sophisticated design. Whether it is a 'Pomegranate Spring' theme at The Leela Palace or a quiet, floral-heavy setup at the JW Marriott, the work is about creating a cohesive look that doesn't feel forced.

I rely on a mix of textures: airy cotton drapes, raw bamboo, and antique brass accents paired with modern seating. For larger gatherings, we implement specific floral installations—like the hanging tuberose grids or our signature floral tunnels—to guide guests through the space and create natural photo opportunities.

Comfort is my priority. My lounge setups feature printed cushions and sturdy furniture layouts that allow guests to mingle without feeling like they are sitting in a stiff, formal arrangement. We also pay close attention to the pool itself; instead of ignoring it, we use it as a design element, incorporating floating lotus arrangements and reflective water styling to soften the edges of the venue.

If you want a setup that avoids the typical, heavy event aesthetics and instead opts for a fresh, botanical look, I am happy to discuss how we can adapt these themes to your specific venue.
