About Hand-Painted Kalamkari Apparel & Dupattas
Wearable Art with a Story
I’m all about bringing old-school tradition into today’s wardrobe. My Kalamkari pieces are more than just clothes - they’re wearable art, each with its own vibe and a bit of history woven in. These aren’t just for one season; I want them to be passed down, like family stories.
Authentic Kalamkari Craft
I work with kalam and natural vegetable dyes, sticking to the real Srikalahasti Kalamkari method. No shortcuts here - every piece is drawn and painted by hand, inspired by nature or temple art. Motifs like peacocks, vines, and scenes from Indian epics show up a lot. If you want something that’s earthy and unique, you’ll see it in the colors and designs.
Styles I Offer
- Srikalahasti Kalamkari: All freehand, all tradition. The lines are super detailed, and the look is pretty classic.
- Kashmiri Kalamkari: This style mixes painting with Kashmiri embroidery, so you get bold colors and patterns, especially florals and paisleys.
What You’ll Find
- Hand-painted dupattas in Pure Organza, Silk, or Pure Georgette. They go well with simple kurtas or pair up nicely with hand-embroidered Chikankari suits.
- Kalamkari hand-painted suit sets, where the dupatta and kurta are matched up, sometimes with extra embroidery or sequin work for a bit of shine.
Why Choose My Craft
I’m into details and subtle luxury. Most pieces have little touches like zardozi or sequins, but nothing too loud. Custom designs are totally possible - I love creating something that feels personal and can become an heirloom kalamkari clothing piece for you.
