ArtBeat: Creative Retreats for Teams
Forget the boardroom for a day. Let us paint, breathe, and find a bit of apnapan (belonging) with your team through guided, judgment-free creative retreats.
This film tells the story of 'ArtBeat', a three-day retreat I co-facilitated for 150 employees of D2K Technologies. Many of them were meeting for the first time after years of remote work. The video includes testimonials from participants sharing how the art activities helped them relax, discover themselves, and connect with their team in a completely new way.
About this collection
Most teams I work with are not painters, and that is perfectly fine. We start every retreat with a guided Shavasana to quiet the office noise, followed by emotion-mapping exercises. The session ends with a collective canvas that belongs to everyone, not just one person. It is not about technical skills, it is about feeling lighter and creating that sense of apnapan (belonging) with the people sitting next to you.
The workplace often feels like a series of deadlines and meetings, but I believe we need to build spaces for stillness too. When I facilitated the ArtBeat retreat for 150 people in Karjat, I saw a team that had been working remotely for years finally drop their formal guard.
Here is what you can expect:
- Quiet the Mind. We begin with meditation. You do not need to be a yoga expert, just breathe and ground yourself.
- Emotion Mapping. We use colors to map how we feel. It is a safe way to bring internal thoughts into the open without needing to explain them in a meeting.
- Collective Canvas. This is the heart of the experience. We move from individual expression to team creation. The result is not a masterpiece for the office wall, it is a memory of how you connected.
I bring all the materials, including non-toxic acrylics and canvases, so you do not have to worry about the logistics. My setup is mobile, so whether your office is in Delhi NCR or you are planning a retreat elsewhere, I can travel to you.
Standard team building often involves forced icebreakers. My workshops provide a medium, art, so the conversation happens naturally. You will find that when you focus on a brushstroke, you start talking about things that actually matter. If you are curious about how to bring this to your workspace, let us chat.
Anupama
Art is how I stop thinking and feel a part of everything. I do not just facilitate workshops; I create spaces where you can leave the office hierarchy at the door and just be. Whether you are a team of ten or a hundred, I am here to help you find that missing connection.
