Why Aftercare Matters

Organic henna is a natural process. Because it lacks harsh chemical dyes, the stain needs time to oxidize and deepen. If you wash your hands too soon or don't protect the drying paste, you lose that rich, dark intensity.

My Essential Toolkit:

• Araq Nail Cones: These are distinct from hand henna. They are formulated specifically for fingernails to provide a long-lasting, deep color that mimics traditional methods.
• Sealant Spray: This is my go-to fix. It is a simple, effective sugar-lemon solution that keeps the henna paste moist on your skin. This allows the dye to release longer, resulting in a much darker stain.
• Aftercare Balm: Once you scrape the dried paste off, your skin is vulnerable. My balm creates a protective layer, shielding the fresh, light-orange stain from water and soap, allowing it to mature into a deep reddish-brown over the next day or two.
