About this collection
Modeling is storytelling, and my Bharatanatyam training guides every pose. I do not just wear the fabric. I use specific mudras, controlled head tilts, and subtle movements to ensure the saree drapes perfectly and the story of the weave is clear, whether it is a crisp cotton or a heavy silk.
My approach to saree modeling goes beyond standing in front of a lens. Because I have spent years learning to express narratives through dance, I instinctively know how to pose to highlight the fall of a fabric. When we shoot, I focus on the little details that make a saree look elegant—the weight of the pallu, the crispness of the border, and how the garment moves when you walk or sit.
I love working with varied backdrops. Shooting in heritage temple sites like those in Malleshwaram provides a timeless, traditional atmosphere that pairs beautifully with Kanjivarams and Paithanis. For more modern or casual looks, such as tissue or breathable summer cottons, I prefer natural park settings or clean, minimalist studios that let the texture of the fabric stand out.
Whether you are a local boutique showcasing a new collection or an established brand needing an editorial campaign for temple jewelry, I adapt my styling and expression to fit the mood. I am comfortable with basic self-draping for quick catalog shifts, and I coordinate well with on-set drapers for complex, heavy bridal silk projects.
