About Destination Celebrations
When I travel for a destination wedding, I usually arrive early to sketch the architecture, floral arches, and the unique landscape of the venue. By the time the main ceremony starts, the background is already set, so I can focus entirely on painting you and your family in that exact, fleeting moment without missing a beat.
My Approach to Destination Events
Painting at a destination wedding is quite different from local events. Since I am traveling to your venue, my priority is ensuring the logistics are seamless. I bring all my own materials, including the easel and lighting, so you do not need to worry about the setup. My goal is to capture the specific vibe of your location, whether that means incorporating the beachside view from a Goa resort or the grand pillars of a heritage property.
The Process
- Pre-Event Setup: I arrive at the venue before the ceremony begins to block out the scene on the canvas. This ensures I capture the decor and venue details accurately.
- Live Painting: I paint for 4 to 8 hours depending on your chosen package. Guests love watching the artwork unfold, and it adds an interactive entertainment element to your wedding.
- Studio Finishing: For many destination events, I complete the bulk of the painting on-site. However, I often take the canvas back to my studio for final detailing on faces and fabric, ensuring the likeness is perfect before shipping it securely to your home.
