Live Painting for Events and Weddings
I bring a blank canvas to your venue and transform it into a piece of art right in front of your guests. It is a live performance that adds a different energy to weddings, corporate galas, or festivals.
This is the live painting experience in action at the Mahavir Senior Model School's Tiger Fest. I work on an easel with oil paints, allowing guests to watch the creative process unfold in real time, making it an engaging spectacle for any event.
Kicking off an art event at a school with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony. I believe art is a powerful tool for education and inspiration, and I am always happy to bring that experience to students and faculty.
Explaining my technique to the audience during a live painting session. These interactions are key to my workshops and live events, making art accessible and fun for everyone, regardless of their experience level.
Receiving a certificate of appreciation for my participation in the school's Annual Tiger Fest. It is always an honor to be recognized for contributing to community and educational events through my art.
About Live Painting for Events
When I set up for live painting, I typically need about an 8x8 ft footprint to move around the easel comfortably. It is not just about me painting in the corner; the best results happen when I am placed in a spot with good lighting where guests can walk up, see the brush strokes as they happen, and share a quick word while I work.
Live painting is about the energy of the moment. Whether I am working on a 4x5 ft stretched cotton canvas at a wedding reception or creating an exclusive piece on rose-gold metal for a corporate gala, my goal is to make the artwork a central part of the event experience.
The Performance
For most event bookings, I dedicate up to 6 hours to continuous art creation. This is a performance piece—I arrive early to set up my H-frame easel and floor protection, and by the end of your event, you have a finished, one-of-a-kind oil painting to keep. For those who want something more reflective and modern, my signature rose-gold stainless steel series interacts with venue lighting, creating a piece that changes as your guests move around the room.
Why Live Art?
It changes the room's dynamic. Instead of just static decor, guests have a focal point to gather around. I have painted for school festivals like the 'Kids for Tiger' events and various corporate setups, always focusing on a theme that fits the occasion—be it a 'Cosmic Union' concept or something more abstract.
Logistics
I cover all of Delhi NCR and can travel across India for specific commissions. For the rose-gold metal pieces, I usually complete about 90% of the work on-site; the final curing and sealing happen back in my studio, and I deliver the finished piece to you within 2-3 weeks. If you are looking for something more interactive for your team, I also run group workshops where I guide your guests through the basics of color mixing and storytelling.
Ankur Rana
I'm Ankur. I treat every event as a performance where the art happens live. My goal isn't just to make decor, but to create a shared moment where you and your guests can actually watch the story unfold on the canvas.
