Styling Tips for Your Custom Stitched Outfits
Getting a custom outfit made is just the first step. Here is how I like to style my creations to get the most wear out of every single stitch.
I believe in making your wardrobe work harder for you. This video shows how I designed one versatile, hand-embroidered blouse to be styled with three different bottoms: a simple palazzo, a layered skirt, and a full circular palazzo.
This video shows two different ways to drape the pallu on a custom-stitched navy blue palazzo set. I love creating versatile pieces that you can style differently to create fresh looks for different occasions.
About Style Your Custom Pieces
A single, well-made blouse is the backbone of your wardrobe. When I design for you, I always think about how that one piece can transition from a casual day look to something festive. Take that navy blue blouse I stitched recently—it works with a layered skirt, a circular palazzo, or even a simple saree, saving you from needing a new outfit for every single invitation.
Building a wardrobe doesn't mean buying endless new sets. It means having a few core pieces that you can mix and match. That is why I love helping clients figure out how to style their custom pieces in different ways.
The Versatile Blouse
Most of my clients come to me asking for a blouse to match a specific lehenga. I always suggest we make it a bit more versatile. If we keep the neck design and embroidery subtle, that same blouse can be paired with a simple silk skirt for a friend's mehendi or with a heavy saree for a family wedding.
Playing with Drapes
How you carry your pallu or dupatta changes the entire vibe of the outfit. I often film these small hacks to show my clients that they do not need to constantly run to the tailor for 'new' looks. Whether you tuck your pallu at the back for a cleaner look or drape it from back to front for more volume, these small shifts make your outfit feel fresh every time.
Customization Beyond Stitching
If you have a fabric you love but aren't sure how to style it, bring it to my studio in Punjabi Bagh. We can discuss not just the design, but how the cut of the garment will impact your styling options later. My goal is to ensure that when you invest in custom stitching, you are walking away with a piece that gives you multiple looks, not just one.
