About Modern Wardrobe Finishes
Choosing the right finish balances aesthetics with daily upkeep. Lacquered glass provides a high-end, reflective surface that brightens smaller rooms, but it requires regular cleaning to remain smudge-free. For a lower-maintenance alternative, our textured matte laminates offer a durable, sophisticated look that effectively masks fingerprints and everyday wear.
Understanding Your Finish Options
When we plan your wardrobe, the external finish is the first thing you see, but it dictates how you maintain the unit long-term. We work primarily with two distinct categories of materials to suit different lifestyle needs:
- Lacquered & Glass Finishes: We use 4mm toughened lacquered glass and tinted mirrors mounted on 45mm aluminum profiles. This creates a seamless, modern aesthetic that adds depth to a room. While visually stunning, glass requires consistent care to keep surfaces free of smudges.
- HPL (High-Pressure Laminate): For high-use areas, we recommend 1mm HPL in matte or suede textures. These are incredibly resilient against scratches and do not show fingerprints, making them ideal for kids' rooms or busy master bedrooms.
The Importance of Edge and Frame
A beautiful shutter fails if the edges peel or the frame rattles. We use machine-pressed 2mm PVC edge banding for laminate shutters, ensuring a moisture-resistant seal that prevents the laminate from lifting over time. For our profile systems, we provide heavy-duty 165-degree soft-close hinges, which allow the doors to swing wide without putting stress on the carcass.
Our Process
We don't rely on guesswork. Every project begins with a laser measurement of your space to identify wall unevenness or beam offsets. Once the design is finalized, we provide 3D renderings so you can visualize the exact color combinations, metallic trims, and handle placements before production begins. This precise planning ensures that when we arrive for installation, the final result is exactly what you approved.
