Curious about the Montessori method or ready to join our community? We have laid out the details on our programs, admissions process, and how we handle the first few weeks for your child.

This is the heart of my philosophy. We don't drill facts for tests. Instead, we provide the tools and environment to grow curious thinkers, confident doers, and lifelong wonderers who are prepared for anything.

"Montessori means kids can do whatever they want." We address common misconceptions like this one to help parents understand our philosophy of "freedom within limits," which fosters responsibility and respect.

About this collection

Before your child officially joins, we guide them through a phased, 1 to 2 week separation process. We do not believe in dropping a child off and walking away on day one. Instead, we work with you to gradually build their trust in our teachers and environment, ensuring they feel secure enough to explore before you transition to our regular school hours.

Our Approach to Admissions

We view the admission process as the start of a partnership between home and school. We are not just checking boxes; we are ensuring that our environment is the right fit for your child’s temperament and your family's needs.

Understanding Our Programs

We offer three distinct options to support different family rhythms:

  • Standard Half-Day: A 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM academic schedule built around a 3-hour uninterrupted work cycle. This is perfect for children ready for structured exploration.
  • Full-Day Immersion: Designed for working parents, covering 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. This includes our core academic program plus nutritious vegetarian meals, nap facilities, and creative evening enrichment.
  • Afternoon Batch: A unique offering for children who thrive later in the day. It provides the same authentic Montessori materials and teacher-led guidance as the morning batch, just in a calmer, slower-paced time slot.

Debunking Montessori Myths

Many parents who come to us worry that "Montessori means free play" or that there is no structure. We explain that our classrooms rely on "freedom within limits." Children are free to choose their work, but they do so within a carefully prepared environment. They learn responsibility by putting materials away, grace by using polite words, and independence by caring for their own needs. We focus on the process of learning rather than drilling facts for tests.

Practical Details

Our fee structure is transparent. Stationery, craft materials, and the welcome kit are all included in the annual fee, so you do not receive surprise supply lists. Our campus in Basavanagudi is a 10,000 sq ft space designed specifically for the 2.5 to 6-year-old age group, featuring mixed-age classrooms that encourage older children to mentor younger ones.

Chimes Montessori

School at Pattalamma Temple Rd, Basavanagudi, BengaluruStarting ₹35,000 one-time

We started Chimes because we wanted a school that felt like a second home, where children aren't rushed—just respected. For over ten years, we have kept our focus on following the child’s curiosity rather than rushing through a syllabus.
