Spontaneous caricature sketches from the streets of Bengaluru
Art isn't just about the studio. Sometimes it happens on a busy metro ride or a street corner, capturing real smiles in under a minute.
I did this super fast caricature for a fellow passenger on the metro. His surprised and happy reaction made my whole day.
I surprised this kind woman selling coconuts with a quick sketch while she worked. Her beautiful smile was the best reward.
This tailor was very emotional after I gave him a portrait I sketched of him while he was working. Moments like this are truly special.
Spreading some happiness by sketching a balloon seller and his family. The kids' reactions were amazing.
A quick sketch for a fellow street vendor on Church Street. It's all about sharing the love of art.
About Art on the Move: Spontaneous Sketches
Whether I am on the Namma Metro or sketching a vendor on Church Street, these portraits are done in under a minute using basic markers and paper. It is raw, real, and always results in a genuine smile. If you are looking to bring this same energy to your next event, I am ready to set up my station and start sketching your guests.
When I sketch on the move, it is all about the connection. My toolkit is simple—permanent markers and A3 paper—because speed matters when you are capturing a moment in a public space. Unlike the structured environment of a birthday party or corporate event where I bring my ring light and dedicated setup, street sketching is about observing the person in their natural element.
I have sketched everyone from fellow passengers on the metro to shopkeepers near Church Street. Each drawing is a quick study in character, focusing on the features that make a person unique. I believe in giving people a reason to smile, and sometimes, a piece of paper and a marker is all it takes to turn a normal day into something memorable.
For your events, I bring that same quick-sketch style but with a bit more structure. I can handle 10 to 12 faces per hour, ensuring every guest gets a fun, handmade souvenir to take home. Whether it is a wedding, a birthday, or a corporate gig, I just need a table, two chairs, and a little bit of space to turn your gathering into a gallery of happy faces.
