Sacred & Meditative Spaces at Home
We design quiet corners for prayer, meditation, or simply finding a moment of solitude. From naturally lit puja spots to serene garden nooks, we blend stone, brick, and lush greenery to create your personal sanctuary.
This sacred space is designed for contemplation. A Ganesha statue sits on a dark stone pedestal, surrounded by planters and set against a terracotta jaali screen that provides privacy while allowing light and air to pass through.
This 3D walkthrough shows our proposal for a tranquil garden corner. The design incorporates a calming Buddha statue nestled within a small, landscaped mound, creating a dedicated space for meditation.
About Sacred & Meditative Spaces
When we design these spaces, we do not just clear a corner; we build a transition. We often use terracotta jaali screens or subtle level changes in flooring, like switching to cool stone, to physically signal that you are entering a space separate from the daily routine of the house. It is about creating a sensory shift where the light changes and the air feels still, regardless of the bustle outside.
Creating Your Personal Sanctuary
For us, a sacred space is not about grandeur. It is about stillness. Whether you need a dedicated puja room that invites calm or a small garden nook for meditation, we focus on removing the noise of modern life.
Our Approach to Sacred Design
- Materiality: We lean on natural, earthy materials like hand-dressed Black Kadappa or Yellow Jaisalmer stone. These materials age beautifully and provide a tactile, grounded feeling underfoot.
- The Play of Light: Using skylights and carefully placed jaali screens, we invite natural light to sculpt the space. We want the patterns of light to shift as the day progresses, reminding you to slow down.
- Integration with Nature: A sacred space should breathe. We often incorporate indoor planting beds or small water elements, creating a bridge between your interior life and the natural world.
How We Work Together
We don't believe in distant, corporate design. We want you to be a part of the process, from the first sketch to the final placement of the stone. We work with you to understand exactly what brings you peace, and then we build around that. Our team, along with our studio dog, loves getting our hands dirty on site to ensure the final brick sits exactly where it feels right.
Whether you are based in Bengaluru or Hyderabad, we are happy to talk about how we can carve out a piece of silence in your home.
