Yoga is my way of connecting with myself, and nature is the setting that makes it possible. These aren't just photos; they are the quiet moments that keep me grounded when life gets loud.

A collection of treasures gathered from a walk in the forest. Colorful leaves, unique mushrooms, and delicate flowers create a beautiful natural mandala, a reminder of the abundance and artistry of nature.

A beautiful cluster of pink and white wildflowers found on a mountain trail. Holding them against the misty backdrop is a simple reminder to appreciate the small, beautiful details all around us.

Wild white flowers found blooming on a forest path at sunset. There is so much beauty to be found when we take the time to look closely at the world around us.

The delicate silhouette of a fern leaf held up against the blue sky. Nature's patterns are endlessly fascinating and a great subject for mindful observation.

A close-up of a beautiful, fan-shaped mushroom discovered during a forest hike. The intricate lines and rich color are a perfect example of the hidden art we can find in nature.

About Moments in Nature

In my retreats, we don't just roll out a mat in a studio. We work with the uneven ground of a mountain path or the soft sand of a beach to deepen our practice. Using props and modifications helps you focus on muscle awareness regardless of the terrain, making your yoga experience stable and truly yours.

For me, yoga is not about achieving the perfect pose in a controlled environment. It is about learning to bend so you do not break, regardless of the chaos around you. When we trade the city noise for the crisp air of the Himalayas or the rhythm of the tides in Goa, our practice changes.

We focus on blending styles like Ashtanga and Hatha with pranayama and meditation, letting the outdoors act as a natural teacher. You might find yourself balancing on a forest trail or holding a stretch while listening to the wind. These aren't just breaks from your routine; they are resets for your nervous system.

My retreats are built on the idea of a 'yoga fam.' We keep our groups intimate so everyone gets personalized adjustments. Whether you are a beginner or a regular practitioner, I provide the props and guidance you need to find your own edge. It is messy, it is sweaty, and it is entirely real. You will likely walk away with sore muscles and a much clearer head.

I’m Sharmila. I find my best moments when I’m off the mat, trekking through forests or sitting on a beach. My retreats aren't about luxury; they’re about getting real, getting sweaty, and finding stillness in the middle of nowhere.
