About Yoga Retreats & Workshops
Why I Practice
Yoga has never been just about the postures for me. It’s how I learn to be okay with all sides of myself, even the parts that feel messy or unmotivated some days. I started because I needed to bend so I wouldn’t break, and that’s still what keeps me coming back.
What My Retreats Are Like
Think less holiday, more reset button. Every retreat or workshop I run is a chance to get away from the city noise, breathe in mountain or ocean air, and let nature do its thing. We practice above the clouds in the Himalayas, on sunlit beaches in Goa and Bali, or deep in Kerala’s forests. Sometimes we combine yoga with wild treks - like climbing up Hamta or hiking down to Nusa Penida’s cliffs. It’s for people who want more than just a vacation - these are true adventure yoga experiences.
How We Practice
- We mix it up: Hatha, Ashtanga, Sivananda, and Vinyasa flows.
- Sessions include asana (poses), pranayama (breathwork), and dhyana (meditation).
- We chat about yogic ideas like satya and santosha, and how to not just talk about them but actually live them.
- Everyone’s welcome. Whether you’re a regular or you’ve never touched a yoga mat, I offer props and adjustments so you can go at your own pace.
More Than Just Yoga
It’s about building a “yoga fam” - a community that supports each other, laughs together, and doesn’t take things too seriously. You’ll leave with new friends, a clearer mind, and maybe a sore muscle or two. But hey, that’s how you know you showed up for yourself.

My Story
Hey, I’m Sharmila. Yoga teacher, yes, but also a wanderer, trippy little hippie (as my friends tease). I collect tiny forest treasures, chase waterfalls for my natrajasana, and sunbathe in Manali. Street shopping in Pushkar, magical treks in Bali, and celebrating Diwali with my chosen fam - these moments are my balance. Sometimes I just dance with shadows and think, what a wonderful world. Life’s all about finding what to hold, what to let go.
My Work
Yoga styles I teach - I’m certified in Ashtanga, Hatha, Sivananda and Satyananda yoga. Classes online for all levels.
Strength over just flexibility - Yoga is not just about bending. I focus on strength building yoga so you grow stable, inside and out.
Props and variations - We’ll use props and try variations for deeper stretches, better alignment, and muscle awareness.
Connect with energy - We’ll explore Sun Salutation variations and Chandra Namaskar to tap into the universe’s energy.
Grow with self-love - My classes are about loving every part of yourself, challenging, and growing together.
