When I design a Teej hamper, I am not just wrapping a gift, I am building a scene. Whether you want to present a bridal suit or a luxury bag, I use specific motifs like traditional jhulas, handmade peacock feathers, and vibrant florals to reflect the season. Teej is one of my favorite festivals to design for because it allows for such a burst of creativity. It is the festival of Sawan, and my hampers aim to capture that spirit of joy, greenery, and celebration.
My approach to Teej gifting is a blend of traditional sentiment and modern aesthetics. I often work with brides-to-be who need their trousseau items, like sarees or suits, packed for the Sindhara ceremony. For these, I focus on regal elements. I might use a velvet base adorned with pearl strings, lotus cutouts, and rich floral arrangements in shades of royal blue, green, and pink. The goal is to make the garment the centerpiece while the packing acts as a beautiful frame that honors the tradition.
I also specialize in mixing luxury brands into traditional festive settings. If you are gifting items from brands like Louis Vuitton, Laneige, or Fendi, I do not just put them in a box. I create a theme around them. I might place a perfume or a handbag on a mirror tray decorated with Radha-Krishna cutouts or artificial peacock feathers, ensuring the gift feels both personal and high-end.
Every hamper is handcrafted. I source different textures, from jute and mesh for a rustic, earthy feel to polished trays for something more premium. Because I am based in Jahangirpuri and deliver across Delhi NCR and Ludhiana, I am very familiar with the timelines required for these festive deliveries.
