when i am working on a shoot, my job isn't just to paint a face. i’m constantly adjusting for lighting changes and watching the monitor to ensure the makeup holds up under high-definition cameras. it means i’m right there on set with the crew, fixing lipstick smudges and touching up the T-zone between takes so the shoot keeps flowing.
being a makeup artist is not just about the final image you see on Instagram. it is about the hours of prep, the coordination, and yes, the physical toll of being on your feet all day. i trained at the SMA International Makeup Academy in Bangalore, which gave me the technical grounding to handle everything from intricate cut creases to flawless airbrushing.
