About Elegant Bridal Portraits
My portrait style depends heavily on natural light rather than heavy studio setups. If you prefer this look, we should plan your main bridal shots for that golden window before sunset or in well-lit indoor spaces so your jewellery and saree textures look exactly as they do in person.
My Process for Bridal Portraits
I do not spend hours on stiff, forced posing. During your wedding day, I look for those brief, quiet interludes when you are adjusting your nath, checking your reflection, or taking a breath before walking out. I guide you into position, but the smile and the grace remain yours.
Why Natural Light Matters
Most of the portraits you see here rely on ambient light or soft, portable fill. This approach keeps your look authentic. Whether you are wearing a heavy traditional silk saree or a modern lehenga, the fabrics and jewellery details retain their natural texture. I avoid harsh studio lighting that flattens features.
Planning Your Shoot
- Timing: If possible, let's schedule your solo portraits during the day or an hour before sunset to get the best soft light.
- Details: I always set aside time to photograph the details that define your look: the mehndi patterns, traditional ornaments, and the drape of your saree.
- Venue selection: I prefer spots with depth, such as carved pillars, large windows, or natural landscapes, rather than blank walls.
Whether it is a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony in Ratnagiri or an urban wedding in Mumbai or Delhi, my aim is to create portraits that reflect your personality without making you feel like a model on a rigid set.
