Behind the scenes of our event production process
See the hard work, structural planning, and attention to detail that goes into every Nalesa event setup, from initial framing to the final touches.
Challenges are part of the process, and my team is equipped to handle them. This video shows the hard work involved in a large outdoor setup, from building the structure to meticulously adding every floral detail.
A behind the scenes look at the setup for a grand reception. This video shows the transformation from an empty ballroom to a stunning floral masterpiece, including the installation of a mirrored walkway and intricate stage decor.
This montage captures my team in action across different events. From setting up intricate stage backdrops to arranging staircase decor and managing lighting, this is a peek into the detailed execution that brings a vision to life.
About this collection
Producing large events isn't just about the final floral display you see in photographs. It is about our 8-to-10 member crew coordinating transport, riggers setting up box trusses for lighting, and our team troubleshooting site constraints like uneven ground or tight timelines in real-time. We treat every installation as a live production, ensuring the safety and structural integrity of every stage and backdrop long before the first guest arrives.
Our Production Approach
When we take on a project, the design is only half the battle. The other half is the technical execution on the ground. We have been managing event logistics in Bengaluru and across India since 1995, and we know that the difference between a good event and a seamless one often lies in the infrastructure.
Technical Expertise
For our high-energy events like Sangeet nights or cocktail parties, we bring in professional audio-visual hardware. This includes:
- Rigging: Box truss structures to ensure lighting fixtures stay secure.
- Lighting: 8 to 16 Beam Moving Head lights (Sharpies) and LED washes, managed by a dedicated console operator to sync with the music or mood.
- Fabrication: For themed naming ceremonies or weddings, our team builds custom 20ft 3D backdrops using fiber and high-quality foam, ensuring they are sturdy and finished to match your theme.
Handling Challenges
We have faced everything from monsoon rain at outdoor venues to last-minute ballroom changes. Our philosophy is simple: we do not promise perfect conditions, we promise a perfect solution. Whether we need to pivot a stage design to accommodate a smaller room or work through the night to ensure a fresh floral installation is ready by morning, our crew is equipped for it. If you are planning a large-scale setup, we recommend a site visit at least 4 weeks in advance so we can map out power requirements, access points for our heavy props, and the structural limitations of your venue.
Nalesa by Geethanjali Santosh
We’re Nalesa, and we’ve been building celebration spaces since 1995. For us, every event is a puzzle of logistics and creativity that we love solving together as a team. We’re the ones on the ground making sure the lighting hits right and the structures are solid, so you can just focus on the moment.
