About Deepening Your Asana Practice

Advanced practice isn't about forcing your body into shapes, but finding stability and breath within them. In these sessions, I use Iyengar-inspired props—blocks, chairs, and ropes—to make complex postures like arm balances and deep backbends accessible, ensuring you build real strength without risking injury.

True advancement in yoga is a journey of dheere-dheere (step-by-step) progress, not a race to the most flexible pose. When you join my training in Rishikesh, we break down challenging asanas into manageable components. We don't just mimic a posture; we understand the anatomy and the energy behind it.

Why Props Are Essential

Many students fear they aren't flexible enough for advanced work. My school uses props to bridge that gap. Whether it is using a chair to support a deep backbend or blocks to find length in your splits, props allow you to hold postures longer and with better alignment. This is the key to building the strength needed to eventually perform these poses unaided.

Our Training Focus

  • Safety & Alignment: Every adjustment is hands-on. My team and I watch your form closely to prevent injury, especially in inversions and arm balances.
  • Breath Control: As we say, shwaas jeevan ka doosra naam hai (breath is the second name of life). You will learn to synchronize movement with deep, rhythmic breathing, which is the only way to sustain long-duration asanas.
  • Beyond the Mat: Our advanced courses go deep into philosophy and Shatkarma (cleansing practices) to prepare your body and mind for the rigors of serious practice.

This is not a vacation course. Whether you are aiming for your 200H or 300H certification, or just looking to take your personal practice to the next level, you will be part of a disciplined, supportive YogaFamily. Expect a rigorous schedule that challenges you, but remember—jabardasti (forcing) has no place here. We work with your limits, not against them.
