Vibrant Mata ki Chowki & Devi Puja Decor
I create spaces that feel less like a temporary setup and more like a sacred Darbar. My focus is on that warm, devotional glow that makes your Mata ki Chowki feel truly alive.
A grand backdrop I created for a Mata ki Chowki. The central arch, made of red and white flowers, perfectly frames the deity's idol, creating a divine throne. The entire setup is designed to be a powerful and beautiful focal point for the prayers.
This floral 'Om' symbol, crafted from rich red roses and surrounded by a wreath of flowers, is a testament to my sacred floral art. It serves as a spiritual centerpiece, radiating devotion and energy throughout the Mata ki Chowki event space.
Detail is everything. For this event, I created this beautiful 'Maa' signage using white flowers against a textured red background, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to the devotional decor.
This video highlights some of the key elements from a Mata ki Chowki I designed. You can see the floral 'Om', a custom backdrop with golden Sanskrit verses, and the rich red color theme that defines these energetic and spiritual gatherings.
Lighting is key to creating a sacred vibe. Here, you can see the hundreds of candles and diyas I use in my designs, from large candelabras to small lotus shaped holders, all contributing to a warm and divine glow.
A close up look at the floral details. I love combining the fragrant purity of tuberose strings with the deep passion of red roses, creating a classic and powerful combination for any devotional event decor.
This collage shows the intricate details that go into my setups. On the top, a floral rangoli made with petals, and below, elegant lighting fixtures nestled within fresh floral arrangements, showing how I blend different elements for a complete look.
About Mata ki Chowki & Devi Pujas
I do not believe in cookie-cutter setups. For every Mata ki Chowki I design, the lighting is specifically calibrated to create that warm, devotional glow—hundreds of diyas and candles placed to highlight the idol, not just the room. It takes time to get the floral typography right, but the difference in how the space feels when you walk in is worth every bit of that effort.
When I start designing for a Mata ki Chowki or Devi Puja, I look at the space not just as a venue, but as a temporary temple. My team and I focus on the 'Darbar' setup, ensuring the idol sits within a frame that feels elevated and sacred.
Whether you need a compact home setup or a large banquet hall stage, the process remains the same—attention to detail is everything. I often use a mix of classic marigolds for that traditional punch of orange and yellow, paired with deep red roses to bring in the passion and energy associated with the Mother Goddess.
For larger events across Delhi NCR, we create custom 20ft stages where we use fiber lions, Trishuls, and intricate floral 'Om' symbols to ground the theme. But the magic really happens in the lighting. I use LED par cans for the backdrop to create depth, and then layer in real, flickering diyas and votive candles on the flooring and near the altar. That combination of warm, moving light against the static floral structure creates the 'divine atmosphere' my clients usually talk about.
It is not about making it perfect for a magazine; it is about making it perfect for your rituals. If you have a specific verse or symbol you want incorporated into the backdrop, we can make it happen. I prefer to use fresh jasmine and tuberose strings too, because a devotional event should not just look beautiful—it should smell like a temple.
