Posing is not about rigid instructions. It is about creating a space where your subject feels safe enough to reveal their natural essence. Learn how to guide real people into authentic, effortless portraits.

My approach to posing is about finding stillness and natural posture. In this session, I am guiding the model to find a comfortable and elegant pose that feels authentic rather than staged.

Many clients are not used to being in front of a camera. My process involves gentle direction and creating a relaxed space, helping them feel open to guidance so we can achieve portraits that capture genuine emotion.

A personal branding shoot in Pune, where the beautiful natural light set the tone. I believe in building a quick rapport with clients, which makes the session feel less like a photoshoot and more like a conversation.

Even in a dynamic location like a beach, the goal is to find a moment of quiet connection. Here, I am directing the subject to interact with the water, focusing on the small details that make an image feel alive.

Directing a fashion lookbook shoot requires a different energy. It is about finding the balance between showcasing the clothing and capturing the model's personality, all while maintaining a cohesive, artistic vision.

An outdoor fashion shoot in Mumbai, working against the heat and the busy streets. My job is to keep the team focused and the model comfortable, finding interesting backdrops in everyday urban environments.

Using the streets of Mumbai as our studio. This is a behind the scenes look at how I find and use unique urban textures and colors to create a compelling backdrop for a fashion portrait.

An outdoor headshot session, making use of architectural elements and natural sunlight. I guide my clients to find poses that feel both professional and relaxed, perfect for actor portfolios or corporate branding.

About The Art of Posing & Direction

Most people stiffen up the moment a lens points at them. My approach is not about giving them a rigid list of poses to memorize. Instead, I teach you how to shift the energy on set by having conversations, adjusting small details like a hand placement or a tilt of the chin, and keeping the subject moving. When you treat the shoot like a collaboration rather than a checklist, the stiffness disappears, and the photos stop looking staged.
