Lightweight Extensive Green Roof
Technical Layering System
- Surface Prep & Protection: Cleaning of existing surface followed by the installation of a specialized root-barrier membrane.
- Drainage Assembly: High-grade 20mm to 30mm plastic drainage cells with water retention cups to manage storm water and hydration.
- Filtration: Non-woven geotextile fabric layer to prevent substrate runoff into drainage outlets.
Substrate & Vegetation
- Engineered Media: Proprietary soil-less mix (Cocopeat, Perlite, Vermiculite) strictly regulated to maintain a saturated weight under 100kg/sq mtr.
- Planting: Carpet grass (Mexican Lawn/Bermuda) or Sedum mats suitable for full sun exposure.
- Separation: Aluminum or GI strip edging to define green zones against drains and parapets.
Irrigation Setup
- Drip Network: Pressure-compensated drip lines (Jain/Netafim or equivalent) concealed beneath foliage.

- Surface Finish: Polished pebbles, bark mulch, or stone chips for aesthetic soil covering.

- Extensive green roofs: These are for folks who want greenery but don't have time for too much upkeep. Low maintenance terrace garden, mostly hardy plants, needs less soil and less fuss.
Old Buildings? No Problem
Adding a green roof to an old building isn't a big headache for us. We know how to check for waterproofing, structure, and all the boring details so you can just enjoy the view.
