About this collection

Most of the Kundan and Polki sets in this collection are crafted on a 92.5 pure silver base, which gives them a weight and finish much closer to real gold jewellery than standard costume pieces. Because these designs are delicate and often involve intricate meenakari work, I strongly recommend booking an appointment at my Banashankari studio to try them on. Seeing the stones catch the light in person helps you decide exactly which set balances your outfit’s neckline and colour palette perfectly.

Understanding the Collection

Kundan and Polki are distinct, classic choices for Indian weddings. Kundan uses glass stones set in gold foil, while Polki uses uncut diamonds or high-grade stones to create a more raw, regal appearance. My collection focuses on these traditional techniques, modernised for your convenience. Whether you are styling a lehenga for a Sangeet or a heavy silk saree for a reception, these sets provide that grand, traditional look without the cost of ownership.

Why 92.5 Silver Base

I source pieces with a 92.5 silver base because they age beautifully and carry a substantial, premium feel. This base is also more durable, ensuring the setting holds the stones securely throughout your event. Many of these pieces are finished with antique gold plating, meenakari detailing, and pearl clusters (Guttapusalu style) to match the rich aesthetics of South Indian and North Indian bridal wear.

Styling Your Look

  • For the Reception: Pair a heavy bib-style Polki necklace with a sweetheart neckline to let the jewellery do the talking.
  • For the Sangeet: Opt for our lighter Kundan chokers with emerald or ruby drops. They offer enough sparkle for photography without weighing you down while you move or dance.
  • Customisation: During your studio visit, we can discuss how to best pin your maang tikka and layer your harams to suit your specific hairstyle and blouse design.
