When we are on set, the makeup needs to handle studio lights and camera lenses, which is very different from everyday wear. I use specific HD techniques to ensure your foundation does not wash out under harsh flashes, and I stay on standby during the shoot for quick touch-ups so we keep the rhythm going without needing to pause the production.
My Approach to On-Set Artistry
Being a makeup artist on a shoot isn't just about applying product. It is about understanding the lighting, the mood of the shoot, and how the colors will translate in a 4K video or a high-res photo. My process starts long before the lens cap comes off.
What Happens Behind the Camera
When I work on portfolio or commercial projects, I am part of the creative team. I collaborate with photographers to check the lighting setup. If we are doing a rooftop shoot at sunset, I adjust the base so the skin looks natural but still defined. For themed shoots, like our dramatic character concepts, I handle the structural elements like hair and prop placement so the outfit draping is seamless.
The Logistics
I travel to your location in Patna with my full kit, including portable lighting. Whether it is a quick 4-hour commercial shift or a full-day portfolio session, my role is to manage your look so you can focus on the performance. I bring an assistant for larger shoots to handle kit management, ensuring that we never waste time during transition phases.
