Portraits in Nature: Golden Hour & Outdoor Photography
I find my best work where the city noise fades. I use the golden hour to capture honest, calm portraits in nature—whether it's a quiet forest trail, a lush garden, or a scenic park.

About Portraits in Nature
When we shoot in nature, I don't rely on flash or heavy props. I work with the golden hour—that specific window of time where the light is soft and creates those deep, moody shadows I love. Whether it’s a forest trail or a quiet garden in Bangalore, we spend a few hours moving between spots to catch the light shifting, not just posing in one place.
Nature photography is more about waiting for the right light than just finding a pretty background. For my Half-Day Portfolio sessions, I focus on two distinct locations to get a variety of textures—from dense forest greens to open, sun-drenched fields.
My Approach in the Wild
I use Sony Alpha full-frame gear paired with prime lenses. This setup is crucial for creating that creamy background blur that makes a subject pop against the natural environment. We aren't rushing. A 4 to 5-hour shoot gives us the time to let you get comfortable, try a few outfit changes, and work with the changing sun.
What to Expect
- Location Scouting: I scout spots in Bangalore and across Karnataka that offer varied terrain, from quarries to wooded areas.
- Posing Guidance: You don't need to be a model. I guide you through poses that look natural and cinematic, ensuring the final images feel like a story, not a generic picture.
- Editing Style: My post-processing involves high-end frequency separation and moody color grading, bringing out the rich, earthy tones of the location while keeping skin textures authentic.
If you have a specific spot in mind or want to explore a new trail, let me know. I'm always down to pack the gear and head out.
