About Golden Hour Glow
Timing is everything for the golden hour look. It is not just about the sunset, but about catching the specific quality of light just before it dips below the horizon. I will guide you on the best time of day to start based on our chosen Bangalore location, ensuring we get that warm, hazy finish on your portraits without rushing the process.
The golden hour is a brief window, usually lasting about an hour before the sun sets. In Bangalore, finding the right spot to capture this light is half the battle. I prefer quiet rooftops or open spaces like Cubbon Park where the light isn't blocked by tall buildings or trees too early in the evening.
If you want that dreamy, backlit silhouette or a warm, glowing skin tone, this is the time to shoot. We focus on natural light and minimal gear, which means you can relax and focus on your expressions rather than worrying about heavy studio equipment.
Here is what you should consider for our session:
- Weather: We need a relatively clear or partially cloudy day for the best results. I typically recommend booking at least a week ahead so we can track the forecast.
- Location: I have a list of Bangalore spots that catch the setting sun at the perfect angle. We can discuss your preference for an urban backdrop or a more natural, greenery-filled setting.
- Wardrobe: Colors that catch the light, like soft pastels, whites, or even contrasting darker tones, work best during this hour. Avoid overly reflective accessories that might cause harsh glare.
This session is part of my outdoor lifestyle package. We spend 3 to 4 hours together, starting early enough to warm up before the light hits its peak. This gives us enough time to capture a variety of looks and moods as the light changes from bright and golden to soft and blue.
