Patient Transformations: Real Acne and Scar Results

Real changes start with a proper diagnosis, not quick fixes. This gallery showcases the progression of patients I have treated for acne scars and pigmentation, demonstrating the results possible with a dedicated, multi-modality approach.

This before-and-after comparison demonstrates the significant improvement possible for deep, textured acne scars. The patient on the left presented with a combination of atrophic scars. Through a personalized treatment plan involving multiple sessions, we achieved the smoother, more even skin texture you see on the right, restoring both the skin's surface and the patient's confidence.

Here you can see the transformative effect of the Fractional CO2 laser. The initial image shows prominent scarring and pigmentation near the eye. After just three sessions, the skin is visibly smoother, and the scars are significantly less noticeable. This laser resurfacing technique is one of my primary tools for treating deep, persistent acne scars by promoting collagen remodeling.

This is another powerful example of scar and pigmentation treatment. The 'before' photo shows deep-set acne scars and significant dark spots. The 'after' photo reveals a much clearer and more radiant complexion. My goal is to not only reduce the scars but also to restore an even, healthy skin tone.

The goal for every patient is to achieve scar-free skin and restore its natural beauty. This image represents the journey from active breakouts and resulting marks to a clear, smooth complexion. My expert treatments are designed to manage acne and effectively erase the scars it leaves behind.

Reclaiming your skin's radiance is entirely possible with advanced treatment solutions. I help patients say goodbye to acne scars by creating a customized plan to reveal smoother, clearer skin through expert, clinical care.

Patient feedback is a testament to the effectiveness of a thorough, personalized approach. This patient came to me after struggling for months with both active acne and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I am pleased that they saw significant improvement after just one consultation, which involved a detailed explanation of their treatment plan.

This patient's feedback highlights a crucial aspect of my practice: improving the skin barrier. After struggling with acne for years, not only did their acne reduce, but the overall health and resilience of their skin improved, which is fundamental for long-term results.

About this collection

My primary focus is treating the specific type of scar you have, rather than just the acne itself. Whether it is deep boxcar scars requiring Fractional CO2 or fibrous rolling scars that need subcision, I design a protocol based on your skin’s specific texture and history, not a one-size-fits-all package.

Understanding Your Scar Type

Effective scar treatment is not about applying a generic laser setting to every patient. During our consultation at the Thanisandra clinic, we first map your scars. Deep, pitted scars require different tools than raised keloids or superficial pigmentation. When you see these transformations, they are the result of combining different modalities—such as Fractional CO2, Microneedling Radiofrequency (MNRF), and subcision—to encourage collagen production where it is needed most.

The Multi-Modality Approach

I often use a combination of techniques to achieve smoother skin. For example, subcision is frequently necessary for rolling scars where fibrous bands tether the skin down; without releasing those bands, laser resurfacing alone will not provide full results. Similarly, chemical peels serve a specific purpose in exfoliating the surface and managing residual hyperpigmentation, distinct from the deep tissue remodeling achieved by lasers.

Realistic Expectations

Clear skin is a process, not an overnight event. You will notice that my patients who see the best results are those who follow the prescribed post-care, especially regarding sun protection. If you are struggling with long-standing scars, I encourage you to avoid self-medicating. Instead, let us look at the root causes—be it hormonal, dietary, or related to skin barrier health—and build a treatment plan that addresses your skin’s unique needs.

I do not believe in quick fixes or copying trends you see on social media. When you come to me, we sit down to identify the root cause of your skin issues—be it hormonal, dietary, or lifestyle-related—before we ever start a treatment plan.
