After many years in this profession, I can say with certainty that there is no better profession. The key is to understand it, feel like a lawyer in every moment, and overcome your perceived problems. It's a journey of embracing the role with pride.

A lawyer has four main jobs: reading, writing, speaking, and the most important of all, thinking. The ability to think critically allows you to build a legal strategy, and once you have a strategy, execution becomes clear.

Judges receive a year of intensive training before they ever sit on the bench, but lawyers receive none. This systemic gap is why I focus on practical training, because young advocates are left to figure out the system on their own.

Should you be a specialist or a generalist? While developing an expertise in one area is good, I believe a truly confident advocate is one who has a comprehensive understanding of the law and can handle anything that comes their way.
