About Traditional Home Ceremonies
When I decorate for home ceremonies, I don't use plastic replicas where fresh materials will do. I hand-weave coconut leaves, arrange fresh sugarcane pillars, and string real jasmine garlands right at your doorstep. It takes longer and requires more time on-site, but that is the only way to get the authentic scent and look of a truly traditional celebration.
My work is grounded in the traditions we grew up with. For a Griha Pravesh, I use fresh banana stems, kumkum-detailed leaves, and real jasmine to create a path that feels sacred and welcoming. For Sreemantham or half-saree functions, I create backdrops using real betel leaves and marigold strings instead of just using printed fabric.
Why this matters for your home:
- Freshness: I source flowers on the day of the event so your home smells like jasmine and roses, rather than just looking like it.
- Hand-Crafted Details: Whether it is weaving coconut fronds for a traditional chappara (pandal) or setting up sugarcane pillars, I do this work manually to ensure it looks right.
- Practicality: I handle the setup and the cleanup. You focus on the rituals and your family.
I am based in Yelahanka, but I travel across Bangalore for these intimate setups. I believe the environment of a ceremony should honor the importance of the day. If you have a specific vision for your home ceremony, whether it is a small baby shower or a full house-warming, let us discuss how to make it happen.
