In-Home Dog Obedience and Manners Training
I bring professional dog training right to your living room. No stress for your pet, just practical, positive habits built in the environment where your dog spends most of their time.
During a private session, I guide this Cane Corso onto a simple cardboard box to practice the 'place' command. This teaches impulse control and boundary training right in the living room.
This session focused on building food drive in a Beagle who was previously unmotivated by treats. Using positive reinforcement in a familiar home setting is key to solving behavioral challenges like this.
About In-Home Obedience & Manners
Most training happens in a sterile facility, but your dog does not live in a facility. They live in your home. By working in your actual living space, I can help you fix real problems like boundary issues, counter surfing, or door-rushing right where they happen, using your daily routine as the classroom.
I treat every session as a way to build a deeper connection between you and your dog. Whether you are dealing with a Beagle who refuses to walk on a leash or a larger breed that needs to learn impulse control, the method remains the same: positive reinforcement, not force.
Why In-Home Training Works
Training at home removes the stress of travel and unfamiliar environments. It allows us to address the specific layout of your apartment. We figure out the best spots for crate training, or teach your pup to wait patiently at the threshold before you open the front door.
The 'Thinsi Nodona' Approach
My work is based on 'Thinsi nodona'—letting the dog's natural drives for food and play guide the learning process. If your dog is not motivated by kibble, we find what they love, be it a specific toy or a game of fetch, and use that to build obedience. We cover everything from the 'Place' command for when you have guests over, to loose-leash walking in your building corridors.
Building Real-World Manners
I work with owners across Bengaluru to create a routine that makes sense for both of you. It is not just about teaching commands like Sit or Stay. It is about reading your dog’s body language, knowing when to push for progress, and when to let them breathe. We will work on:
- Threshold Control: Stopping the rush at the front door.
- Impulse Control: Teaching your dog to settle on a mat or bed.
- Leash Manners: Turning walks into a bonding activity rather than a tug-of-war.
