Breathwork and Pranayama: Find Your Inner Silence
Your breath is the one conversation you never stop having with yourself. In these sessions, we use pranayama to move past the noise of the day and find a quiet space inside.
This video shows my father holding his breath for 1 minute and 47 seconds during Anthar Kumbhaka. It’s a powerful demonstration of building a voluntary ability to silence the mind.
"Take a deep breath. Let the rest come easy." Here, my father practices Jala Neti, a nasal cleansing technique, followed by pranayama. Conscious breathing is my anchor.
This is the face of someone after 40 rounds of Bhastrika pranayama. That feeling of being completely high, just from the breath, is a result of hyperventilation and a shift in consciousness.
About this collection
Breathwork isn't just about inhaling and exhaling; it's about nervous system regulation. Whether we are practicing Anthar Kumbhaka (breath retention) to build focus or Bhastrika to shift your energy, I guide you through the process verbally. You don't need to be an expert to start. We begin with where your breath is right now—even if it's shallow from a stressful day—and use specific techniques to help you down-regulate and find that elusive inner stillness.
Beyond the Posture
We often obsess over how a pose looks, but the real work happens when we stop moving and start breathing. I see pranayama as the bridge between the chaotic outside world and the quiet space inside.
What We Practice
- Bhastrika Pranayama: We use this to shift consciousness and wake up the system. It can feel like a natural high—an intense, energizing experience that clears the mental fog.
- Anthar Kumbhaka: This is about patience. Holding the breath requires you to make a treaty with yourself. It builds that voluntary ability to silence the mind when everything around you feels loud.
- Jala Neti & Cleansing: We incorporate these traditional cleansing techniques to keep the airways open, which fundamentally changes how you experience your daily breath.
Where We Connect
Whether you are looking to de-stress after a workday or deepen your existing yoga practice, we can work together in ways that fit your life:
- In-Studio (Malleshwaram): At Latibule Wellness, we have the space for more intensive, focused work.
- Cubbon Park: Nature does half the work for us. These outdoor sessions are about grounding and community.
- Virtual: If you are short on time or prefer your own space, we can do this over a video call. I use verbal cues to guide your alignment and breath rhythm.
There is no 'perfect' way to breathe, only the way that works for your body today. If you are ready to stop just moving and start feeling, let's talk.
Rakshith Setty
I’m Rakshith. My own practice has been a messy, beautiful journey of healing injuries and chasing that quiet feeling inside. I teach breathwork because it’s the anchor that helped me through the noise, and I want to help you find that same ground, whether we’re in my Malleshwaram studio or under the trees at Cubbon Park.
