Being a first-generation artist is not exactly the glitz and glamour people think it is. My days usually look like a mix of disciplined riyaaz, chasing payment deadlines, and answering emails, all while trying to maintain my own sanity. I believe in being transparent about this process. Whether I am recording for a web series finale on Netflix or tracking backing vocals for an indie project, I focus on the technical side, like providing dry, studio-ready stems and keeping to 48-hour turnarounds.
My approach to studio work is rooted in my Hindi R&B background. I have learned the hard way that you cannot just show up and sing. It requires vocal care, regular ENT check-ups, and treating my in-ear monitors like a lifeline in noisy venues. I am not claiming to be perfect. Sometimes I am just a person trying to survive a gig with a cup of hot kadha, and other times I am manifesting my voice on the big screen.
