A great half-saree is not just about the fabric, it is about how the davani sits and the comfort of the fit. I focus heavily on the stitching of the blouse and the drape of the dupatta, ensuring you can move freely during long ceremonies without constantly adjusting your outfit.
Whether you are planning for a coming-of-age function, Varamahalakshmi, or a traditional wedding, finding a ready-made half-saree that actually fits can be frustrating. That is where my studio in Malleshwaram comes in. I love taking existing sarees and repurposing them into stunning Langa Davani sets. It is a sustainable way to keep tradition alive while getting a custom fit that feels brand new.
How I Work
- Bring Your Fabric: Often, the best half-sarees come from a grandmother's old Kanjeevaram or a favorite silk saree that has been sitting in the cupboard. Bring it to my boutique, and we will plan the cut.
- Custom Stitching: I pay special attention to the blouse fit. No loose ends or uncomfortable armholes. The skirt is tailored with the right amount of flare so it falls beautifully.
- The Davani Drape: The dupatta, or davani, is pleated or left flowing based on your comfort and the event. I can add borders or lace to match your personal preference.
Nimge bekagiro thara (just the way you want it) is my philosophy. Do not stress about finding the right material. Just drop by, and we will sort out the design, the stitching, and the final look together.
