People, Philosophy, and Recognition: The Story of Transform Design
Design is rarely a solo endeavor. Behind every project lies the quiet dedication of my team and a shared vision that transforms simple structures into resonant sanctuaries.
I am honored to be featured in this Forbes article on "Redefining Luxury." It speaks to my core belief in creating spaces that blend beauty, well being, and prosperity through thoughtful, biophilic design principles.
It was a privilege to be featured on the cover of Architecture + Design magazine. The 15 page story captures the philosophy, the work, and the world of Transform Design, acknowledging our passion for creating meaningful, timeless spaces.
Beyond the magazine covers and the spotlight, it is the people who truly make Transform what it is. This is the team that works with dedication and creativity behind the scenes, turning visions into lasting spaces.
My best work is not mine alone. It is the quiet strength of my team, aligned in intention and purpose. This photo captures the collaborative spirit that is the true foundation of our success.
I believe knowledge grows when it is shared. I recently had the privilege of delivering a master session at the Academy of Applied Arts on "The Psychology of Luxury Design," inspiring the next generation of designers.
An excerpt from a panel discussion at the Festival of Architecture & Interior Design (FOAID). Here, I discuss how lighting in retail environments is used to guide vision, control pace, and shape the customer experience.
A look at an upcoming panel discussion on "Interpreting Luxury" at the ACETECH Design District event, where I will be moderating a conversation with fellow industry leaders.
A throwback to a discussion during lockdown about the enduring philosophy of Transform Design. Our vision remains the same: to create happiness infusing, functional, and timeless spaces centered on life and joy.
A quick rapid fire Q&A session. A few words that describe me? Philosophical, joyful, and a perfectionist. A skill I wish I had? Sculpture.
The rapid fire continues. My favorite design era is Art Deco, and a movie with the best set design is The Great Gatsby. The best advice I have received? Take the best and make it better.
About The People & The Praise
Most design studios chase the spotlight, but my team prefers the quiet work. When we share our magazine features or industry panel discussions, it is not about ego. It is about validation for the long hours, the rigorous process, and the fundamental belief that design should serve the human spirit above all else.
Design is a shared journey, and the work shown here is a reflection of that. My team is the backbone of Transform Design. We operate under the belief that true luxury isn't about the price of materials; it's about the intention behind every decision. Whether it is our work for institutional clients like the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib library or being featured in 'Architecture + Design' for our approach to 'Invisible Luxury', the recognition we receive is simply a by-product of our commitment to neuroarchitecture and spatial psychology.
When I lecture at institutions like the Academy of Applied Arts, or moderate panels at design festivals like FOAID and ACETECH, my goal is never to build a personal brand. It is to share the craft. I believe that knowledge, like good design, grows when it is passed on. My studio is not a factory; it is a laboratory for happiness-infusing, functional spaces. If you resonate with the idea that your home or office should be a sanctuary—a place that listens to your needs and responds with silence, texture, and light—then you are the kind of client we are looking for. We work with those who understand that refinement does not shout.
Transform Design
I am Ashmit, and I lead a team that believes luxury is felt, not just displayed. We don't just build interiors; we cultivate environments that help you find your calm. If you value design that prioritizes your peace of mind over trends, we are a match.
