Our Philosophy: Process Over Performance
We believe learning is a journey, not a race. Here is how we nurture curiosity, confidence, and emotional intelligence in children through play-based discovery.

This image contrasts the structured nature of theatre, which follows a script, with the free expression of drama, where children create their own stories. We champion play-based learning as essential for early childhood development.
So, what's best for the early years? This graphic clarifies that while theatre has its place, drama-based learning is more age-appropriate for building daily confidence, creativity, and real-life skills.
We believe in process over product. This infographic breaks down the goals of theatre (final performance, scripted lines) versus the goals of our drama classes (confidence, creativity, improvised stories).

About Our Approach & New Programs
We often get asked why our drama sessions skip costumes, scripts, and stage performances. The reason is simple: when you take away the pressure to perform for an audience, children stop worrying about making mistakes. In our classes, your child is free to lead the narrative, build their own characters, and solve problems in real-time, which is where real confidence is actually built.
The 'Process Over Product' Philosophy
In a world that often rushes children toward results, we choose a different path. Our drama and music sessions are built on the belief that how a child learns is far more important than what they produce for an audience. When a child is free from the anxiety of memorizing lines or hitting a mark on stage, they open up.
Drama vs. Theatre: Why We Choose Play
It is easy to confuse drama with theatre, but for children aged 3 to 6, the distinction matters.
- Theatre typically focuses on a final performance. It involves scripts, fixed roles, and the pressure of getting things 'right' for an audience.
- Drama is about the experience. It is an improvisation-based practice where children make their own stories, solve problems, and express themselves without the fear of judgment.
Our classes in Navi Mumbai are designed to be pressure-free. We use this space to build life skills—communication, teamwork, and resilience—that stick with a child long after the session ends.
What Is Next: The Laulau Method
We are always evolving, and we are currently working on integrating the Laulau song-drawing method from Finland into our curriculum. This new approach bridges the gap between music, art, and storytelling in a way that allows children to visualize their own ideas. We are constantly searching for global methods that align with our 'masti and magic' philosophy and cannot wait to bring this to our tribe in the coming months.
Tiny Tribes
I started Tiny Tribes because I wanted to create the kind of space for my own children that I wish I had growing up. Today, we are a team of passionate educators across Navi Mumbai, dedicated to proving that children learn best when they are just having fun.
