About Recognitions & Collaborations
When I host leaders or share the stage with public figures, it is never about the spotlight. It is about proving that yoga is a simple, practical tool for everyone. Whether you are a policymaker or a professional in a high-stress role, the techniques I teach remain the same: breathing, mindfulness, and the discipline to manage your own mind.
At The Yoga Institute, our journey began in 1918 with the dream of taking yoga out of secluded caves and into the lives of common people. My work, and the work of my predecessors, has always been grounded in the idea that yoga is a way of life, not just a series of physical poses.
My collaborations with government bodies like the Ministry of Ayush, and interactions with various leaders, are driven by a single purpose: to amplify the message that wellness is a right, not a luxury. When I speak with dignitaries or appear in the media, I do not talk about complex philosophies. I talk about how a simple practice of 'Anulom Vilom' or mindfulness at one's desk can transform how a person reacts to daily stress.
From our community events like 'Yoga by the Bay' in Mumbai, where thousands join us to breathe and move together, to private workshops in the most demanding corporate environments, the message remains consistent. We are not here to entertain; we are here to provide the tools for self-reliance. I invite you to see these moments not as achievements, but as milestones in our ongoing mission to make authentic, classical yoga accessible to every household in India.
Hansa Yogendra
I am Dr. Hansaji Yogendra. Since 1918, our doors at The Yoga Institute have been open to anyone seeking a path to self-discovery, not just physical exercise. Whether you are a government official or a student, my goal remains the same: to help you build character and find inner peace.
