Cats aren't just small dogs, and they certainly don't like being rushed. That is why we use a dedicated two-person team for every feline appointment. One handler ensures your cat feels safe and secure, while the other focuses entirely on the grooming. We skip leashes and harsh restraints, relying on calming techniques like the Happy Hoodie and gentle towel wraps to keep stress levels low while we handle the de-shedding and degreasing.
Why Your Cat Needs a Dedicated Approach
Most cats are naturally wary of new environments and loud noises. Our grooming process is designed to minimize that anxiety from the moment they walk through our doors. We don't believe in forcing cats into a wash. Instead, we create a quiet, controlled environment.
Our Feline Grooming Process
- Degreasing: Cats often struggle with oily coats, especially around the base of the tail. We use Groomer's Goop, a specialized cream that binds with grease and dirt, making it much easier to clean them without scrubbing their sensitive skin.
- De-Shedding: If your cat is shedding heavily, we use rubber curry brushes to remove dead fur. This doesn't just keep your home cleaner; it significantly reduces the hairballs they ingest while grooming themselves.
- Restraint-Free Handling: You will never see us using leashes or stressful restraints on your cat. We rely on a two-person team: one person acts as the dedicated comforter and handler, while the other performs the bath and dry. It is a tag-team effort that prioritizes your cat's comfort over speed.
- The Happy Hoodie: For drying, we use low-noise techniques and the 'Happy Hoodie.' It muffles the dryer sound and provides a gentle, hug-like pressure that keeps anxious cats calm.
