We understand that dogs with mobility aids, like wheelchairs or harnesses, need specific terrain to thrive. Our lawns are level and meticulously maintained to prevent tangles or accidents, providing a smooth surface for wheels to glide. Whether your pup needs a private, quiet space away from the crowd or simply needs a gentle ramp to reach the water, we set up their day to be stress-free and full of movement.
We believe inclusivity isn't just a policy—it is our daily practice. When we host dogs from rehab centers or private homes, we do not just accommodate; we adapt. Our 2-acre camp is double-fenced, offering security, but more importantly, the flat, grassy terrain allows dogs with custom wheelchairs to navigate independently.
How we make it work
- Terrain Management: Our soil is firm enough for wheels but soft on paws, minimizing the risk of slipping for dogs with limb weakness or balance issues.
- Active Supervision: Our handlers are trained to assist with harnesses and mobility aids, ensuring every pup gets their exercise safely without overexertion.
- Tailored Pacing: We prioritize one-on-one sessions or small, calm playgroups over high-energy group activities. This ensures your pup can socialize at their own speed without feeling overwhelmed.
- Accessibility: We place water bowls at wheelchair-accessible heights and provide shaded, accessible resting zones so breaks are always easy to reach.
