I talk a lot about being TPO-free, but here is why it actually matters to you. Most standard gel polishes contain harsh chemicals that can cause contact dermatitis or irritation after repeated exposure. At my Lower Parel studio, I skip those shortcut ingredients entirely. Whether you are coming in for a lash lift or a gel overlay, you can trust that every product is selected to keep your natural nails and eyes protected, not just looking good.
When I started my journey, I realized that many clients were settling for damage just to get that 'aesthetic' look. That is why I shifted my focus to safe beauty. I am a perfectionist about the chemistry of my products because I know that what goes on your body matters.
Why TPO-Free Matters
Traditional nail products often use TPO (Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide) as a curing agent. While it cures fast, it is a known allergen for many people. By choosing TPO-free brands, I eliminate the risk of the red, itchy, or swollen skin that often comes with standard manicures. It is perfect if you have sensitive skin or if you just want to keep your natural nails healthy long-term.
My Approach to Safety
Everything in my studio is chosen with care:
- Medical-Grade Adhesive: For lash extensions, I only use low-fume, medical-grade glue that minimizes irritation during the application process.
- Isolation Technique: I dedicate time to isolating every single natural lash. This prevents your lashes from sticking together and allows your natural hair to grow out healthily without pulling or damage.
- Nano-Misting: I include nano-misting at the end of lash sessions to cure the adhesive safely, which keeps your eyes comfortable and reduces the risk of vapours causing any stinging.
My home studio in Lower Parel isn't a high-pressure salon. It is a calm space where I take the time needed for a careful application.
