About Commercial & Community Projects
When we design for large community spaces like the Indian Naval Station or college campuses, our approach shifts from purely aesthetic to highly functional. We prioritize low-maintenance native plant selections and robust hardscaping—like the stone-clad water features and durable tiling we installed at INS Tanaji—to ensure these busy areas remain lush and inviting without requiring a daily gardener on-site.
Designing for public and commercial spaces is fundamentally different from creating a private residential garden. In a high-traffic environment, whether it is a college campus or a naval station, the landscape must withstand foot traffic, changing weather, and varying levels of daily care. We focus on creating self-sustaining zones.
This involves careful plant palette selection, utilizing sturdy, air-purifying tropical species that thrive in Mumbai’s humidity while requiring minimal intervention. At Burhani College, we didn't just add greenery; we integrated art. By collaborating with mural artists to create 800 sqft botanical walls, we turned a plain campus perimeter into an engaging experience. At the Portuguese Church, our work on the Rosary Garden focused on creating a tranquil buffer from the bustling city outside, using strategic layering to dampen sound and provide visual relief.

We also integrate structural elements like bamboo screening, stone water features, and weather-resistant irrigation systems.
