About Solid Colors: Simple & Chic
Solid colors look simple, but they demand perfect technique. Without complex art to hide mistakes, I focus entirely on the apex structure and cuticle prep. This creates a smooth, durable finish that holds its shape for weeks, regardless of whether you choose a high-gloss or matte top coat.
While intricate designs are popular, there is nothing quite like a clean, solid color set. When you strip away the stones and glitter, the quality of the work is laid bare. I ensure that every solid set receives the same structural integrity as our most complex designs.
My process for solid extensions begins with a thorough dry manicure. I clean the cuticle area and buff the nail plate to ensure the gel adheres properly. I then apply ABS plastic tips and build a strong apex using UV Builder Gel. This step is critical; it is what prevents your nails from snapping or bending during daily tasks. Once the structure is set and filed to your preferred shape—almond, square, coffin, or oval—I apply two coats of high-quality gel polish. We finish with a high-gloss or matte top coat to seal the color.
Because I use professional-grade products, these sets are designed to last 3 to 4 weeks. When you notice growth at the base, you do not need to remove the whole set. You can come in for an infill service. I will debulk the old color, rebalance the nail structure, and apply a fresh coat of color, making your nails look brand new again without the need for full removal.
