Colorful Mandala Art for Custom Murals and Home Decor
For me, color isn't just about decoration, it's about setting the mood. Whether it's the calming blue of a quiet evening or the vibrant red and violet of a chaotic day, these mandalas are how I translate feelings onto paper.
Here I am holding a finished mandala that uses a cool color palette of blue and green. It's amazing how colors can completely change the feeling of a design.
This mandala uses a simple but powerful combination of red and violet. For me, art is an escape, and choosing colors is a way to express my mood, whether I'm happy or sad.
A semi-mandala from my daily sketchbook, this time exploring different shades of blue with small gold accents. Even a quick scribble can be a moment of peace in a busy day.

About Mandalas in Color
When I pick colors for a mandala, I don't follow a strict rulebook. If I’m looking for calm, I gravitate toward deep blues and greens; if I need to shake off a rough day, I reach for bold violets and reds. It’s less about color theory and more about what my headspace needs at that moment, which is the exact same approach I encourage when you are starting your own design.
People often ask if there's a correct way to combine colors in a mandala. My answer is always the same: start with what feels honest to you. In my Delhi workshops, I notice participants are often hesitant to mix bold shades, worried about making a 'bad' choice. But art is supposed to be a little messy. Using a vibrant violet with a gold accent might sound risky on paper, but those are often the pieces that end up having the most energy.
When you look at the blue semi-mandala in this collection, notice the line weight. That is where the real texture comes from, not just the ink itself. I rely on quality fineliners, like Sakura Pigma Microns, because they let me layer these colors without bleed, allowing me to build depth slowly.
Whether you’re looking to commission a custom wall mural for your living room in shades that match your interiors or you want to join an offline session in Delhi/NCR to learn how to play with a color wheel, remember that the goal isn't perfection. It’s about creating a space on paper where you can finally breathe and find a bit of shanti in your daily routine.
