Documentary Wedding Photography for Real Moments
Weddings are not performances. I look for the unguarded moments—the laughter during the Haldi or a quiet, nervous glance before the chaos begins. Here is how I document the truth of your day.
The groom enjoying a candid dance moment during the Haldi ceremony. It's the uninhibited joy and energy of these celebrations that I love to document.
A close-up of a traditional moment during the wedding ceremony. I focus on the intricate details of the bridal attire and the quiet emotions of the ritual.
The same moment, rendered in black and white to emphasize the emotion and timelessness of the ritual. This removes all distractions, focusing purely on the connection and the tradition.
About Wedding Stories
I do not believe in forced smiles or endless posing. At your wedding, I am the quiet observer in the corner, catching the Haldi dance that goes slightly off-script or the unspoken emotion when a bride adjusts her jewellery. If you want a magazine-perfect catalogue of stiff poses, there are plenty of others. If you want the truth of the day, the messy, beautiful, real version, then we might be a fit.
I apply my documentary approach, the same one I use for street photography, to your wedding. I look for the fleeting glances, the genuine laughter during ceremonies, and the quiet, solitary moments before the guests arrive.
My Philosophy on Color vs. Black & White
I believe color captures the clothes, but black and white captures the soul. For every ceremony, I provide a mix. You get the vibrant hues of your outfits and decor in color, but I also give you deep, high-contrast black and white shots for the emotional milestones. It is about stripping away the distractions so you can see the connection between you and your partner.
The Logistics
I am based in Gurugram, but my camera bag is always packed. Whether it is a destination wedding in the mountains or a family gathering in a small town, I travel wherever the story takes me. I work with ambient light to preserve the mood of the venue rather than using flash-heavy, artificial lighting setups. You will get a gallery that tells a story from start to finish, not just a folder of disconnected, posed portraits. Kehne ko toh bahut si baatein hai par chup rehne mein hi sukoon hai—there is so much to say, but there is peace in silence. I find that silence in the middle of your wedding chaos.
