About Candid & Unscripted Moments
I do not follow a rigid shot list for these moments. Instead, I move through your venue with a silent, documentary approach, waiting for that split second when a joke lands or a tear falls. This means you will not spend half your function posing; you will spend it living, while my team and I stay in the background capturing the pulse of your celebration.
There is a distinct difference between a photographer who directs every action and one who observes. When you hire someone to capture candid and unscripted moments, you are paying for the ability to blend into a crowd without being noticed. My role is to be a ghost at your celebration, finding the narrative in the chaos.
The Documentary Approach
I often use a two-person setup for this style. One photographer stays with the main action, while the other is constantly scanning the periphery. This is how we capture the groom's reaction when the bride enters, the grandmother watching from a corner, or the group of cousins erupting in laughter during the Baraat.
Why it Matters for Your Wedding Film
Authenticity is the foundation of a cinematic film. If you are posing stiffly, the footage looks like a photoshoot. When you are interacting naturally, the footage looks like a film. Whether we are shooting in a bustling palace in Udaipur or an intimate garden in Mumbai, my goal is to strip away the artifice so that years from now, you can watch these clips and remember exactly how you felt in that moment, not just what you wore.
Logistics and Coverage
For these candid sessions, I dedicate full-day coverage, usually spanning 10 to 12 hours. We do not stop filming during the transitions, as the most honest moments often happen when the formal agenda is paused. If you want a wedding album that feels like a family heirloom rather than a corporate event brochure, this is the style you are looking for.
